Best Documentary- Best Amateur Film- Best Student Film- Best Feature Film The 2009 Wheels on Reels Film Festival will select seven film projects for screening at the Inaugural event, October 23 and 24, 2009. Films will be selected based on overall quality of the film presentation and the filmmakers' use of automobiles and/or motorcycles throughout the project. ![]() GUIDE FOR FILMMAKERS SUBMITTING FILM General Rules 1. All film projects must feature automobiles and/or motorcycles as the focal point. 2. Film entries must be received on or before September 8, 2009. 3. Person(s) submitting film must: a. Be the sole owner(s)
of the film with complete legal right and title to the
project.
b. Have complete authority and legal right to grant permission for a film screening before the general public. c. Agree to allow Wheels On Reels permission to use the film, photographs, video footage, publicity stills, or other items submitted with the film, for any or all promotional effforts affiliated witht ehWheels On Reels Film Festival. d. Agree to be present for acceptance of an award on October 23 or 24, 2009, if film submitted is selected, and agree to be available for press and media interviews, photographs and Q&A with audience. e. Understand that submitting a film for competition does not guarantee a screening, or require Wheels On Reels to provide any services, other than that of consideration for the 2009 Wheels On Reels Film Festival. f. Understand that the Festival is not responsible for any type of damage to or loss of sumbitted materials while it is in the Festival's possession, or damages that may occur while en route. g. Understand that the entry fee is non-refundable, and that DVDs and other materials submitted for competition will not be returned. 4. All film submissions must be accompanied by: a. 2 copies of the film project on DVD; each labeled with the film title, running time, director's name and contact information. b. 2 copies of a completed Wheels On Reels Entry Form. c. 2 copies of the press kit and/or film synopsis that includes names of producer(s), director(s), writer(s) and actors, and bios. d. Entry fee in U.S. currency in the amount of $25 for each film entered in the competition. Please note that entry fee is $100 if project is being entered into the Television Commercial category, or is from or the product of an advertising agency. |
